Almost 100 people were injured while at a Louis Tomlinson show from a hail storm on Wednesday night. Seven of these people had to be rushed to the hospital.

Fans were enjoying the concert, which was at the open-air venue Red Rocks, when suddenly huge hail pellets started to rain down on them, forcing them to run for cover.

One Twitter account, @jazzerrae, shared two videos that show what concertgoers experienced. In the first one, people can be heard screaming in the background as they attempt to find shelter. The second one showed just how powerful the rain was. The videos were captioned, “It was awful to experience…”

Another user, @anditslou, posted a video that demonstrated just how much hail accumulated from the storm. She recalls how this experience was, “straight out of a horror movie.”

The fire department announced that 80 to 90 people required treatment on the scene. There were a variety of injuries that were as severe as broken bones.

An alert was announced by the National Weather Service in Boulder which warned residents about the upcoming storm. On Thursday they tweeted, “Severe Thunderstorm Warning including Elbert County, CO, Lincoln County, CO until 10:00 PM MDT,” and notified people that the hail could be “ping pong sized.”

After the show, Tomlinson tweeted to his fans, “Devastated about the show tonight, hope everyone’s ok, I’ll be back! Even though we didn’t play the show I felt all of your passion! Sending you all love!”

A few hours later, Tomlinson released another statement on Twitter sending his love to fans and first responders.

“Sending all my love out to everyone that was affected by the extreme weather at Red Rocks last night. I hope everyone has made it home safely and anyone injured is on the mend, it was devastating to see so many of you affected. I want to thank the speed and care of my touring personnel and the first responders who worked tirelessly last night to help care for everyone affected in what was such extreme circumstances. We’re working hard to find a rescheduled date for the show so please hang onto your tickets until we have more info. Get well soon, and I’ll be back at Red Rocks soon! Louis x”

Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre additionally shared several statements on social media. On the date of the concert, they were forced to delay the show and advised fans to “seek shelter in your vehicle.” Due to the unrelenting weather, they eventually decided to postpone it.
