Firefighters in Redlands, California, pulled a vehicle from a different kind of carpool lane on Friday, Dec. 13, after a driver crashed through a wall and into a fitness center, officials said.

The City of Redlands Fire Department said: “Thankfully, the driver, who was the only occupant, escaped with only minor injuries. The pool was unoccupied at the time of the incident and there were no injuries to anyone in the fitness center,” they added.

Firefighters and paramedics assessed and treated the driver at the scene before they were released to police.
