Liam Payne Paid $35,000 A Month For Girlfriend Kate Cassidy’s Expenses Before His Death

Before his death, Liam Payne was paying his girlfriend a staggering $35,000 a month.

The former One Direction member tragically fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and died on October 16. He had been under the influence of a variety of drugs and in a raging state, denouncing his career, saying, “I was in a boy band…that’s why I’m so f—ed up,” before he fell.

Payne was reportedly gifting his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, 25, $10,000 a month for living expenses, in addition to allowing her to use his credit card for other purchases, which regularly totaled $25,000 at that time.

Cassidy also supposedly went on shopping sprees with Payne’s longtime stylist, Adele Cany, whose lifestyle was also funded by the late singer.

Payne and Cassidy began dating in late 2022 and moved into a rental home in Wellington, Florida, just weeks before Payne’s death. Their five-bedroom home was listed on the market by the end of October for $9,950 a month. Cassidy flew to the U.K. in the days after Payne died and has since been staying in an apartment in London.

A close friend of Cassidy’s revealed to Page Six that the social media influencer has been adapting to a lifestyle change since her boyfriend’s passing but was financially stable nonetheless.

“Kate has money of her own, so it’s not like she’ll have nowhere to be,” they said. “She doesn’t have the money that Liam had, of course, but she’s not broke…she makes money through social media partnerships. She won’t be living the same lifestyle she was living with Liam, but she’s going to be OK.”
