‘Selling Sunset’ Star Christine Quinn’s Husband Files Restraining Order Against Wife Citing Concern Over Potential ‘Abduction’ Of Son
Christian Dumontet, the husband of former Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn, requested a restraining order against his spouse. The request cites concerns about the potential abduction of their 3-year-old son, Christian Jr., as one of the primary reasons for seeking legal intervention.
Dumontet’s request outlines his plea for Quinn to relocate and maintain a distance of 100 yards from their Los Angeles residence.
The request stems from an alleged domestic incident that occurred on March 19. Dumontet’s account alleges that the argument between the couple revolved around the care of two dogs owned by Quinn, who refuses to train them for the house or crate etiquette.
Dumontet claims that he is consistently the one responsible for cleaning up after the dogs, to the extent that operating and cleaning the remote vacuum cleaner has become a bonding activity between himself and their young son. On March 19, Dumontet stated that Quinn refused to fulfill her responsibilities in cleaning up after the dogs, stating that she had already done enough.
As a result, Dumontet asserts that he grabbed the trash bag from the floor and threw it to the side of the room, away from Quinn and their son. The documents clarify that the bag did not contain any broken glass, as there was no evidence of broken glass in the room or elsewhere in the house.
Following this incident, Dumontet was arrested in connection with a domestic violence incident involving their son. He was subsequently arrested again the following day for violating an emergency protection order filed by Quinn.
Contrary to the allegations made against him, Dumontet denies the existence of any incidents of domestic violence within their relationship. He alleges that Quinn abruptly filed an emergency protection order against him with false claims of domestic violence.
In his request, Dumontet implores the judge to restrict Quinn’s travel with their child solely to Los Angeles County, expressing fears that she may attempt to “abduct” their son. He further asserts that Quinn has a history of threatening to take their children away from him and has not been cooperative in co-parenting.
Dumontet emphasizes that Quinn lacks strong ties to California, as her close relationship with her parents, who reside in Texas, suggests a potential inclination to relocate. Dumontet remains open to joint custody of their child and unmonitored visitation rights for Quinn. As part of the request, Dumontet also seeks travel plans and relevant documentation about their child.
Quinn and Christian tied the knot in December 2019 and welcomed their first and only child together in May 2021.
Quinn left Selling Sunset after one of her costars accused her of attempting to bribe a client to work with her. Quinn denied the allegation.
