Anna Kendrick & Bill Hader Break Up After Months Of Quietly Dating

After over a year of quietly dating, Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader have called it quits.

The Pitch Perfect actress and Saturday Night Live alum’s breakup comes five months after their romance was confirmed. The couple reportedly took pains to keep the relationship under wraps as they are both extremely private.

Hader said he kept the relationship private for the sake of his daughters: Hannah, 12, Harper, 9, and Hayley, 7. “They just want me to be their dad,” Hader told The Hollywood Reporter. “They just want me to sit and watch Encanto over and over and over again. So that’s what I do.”

Hader shares his daughters with ex-wife Maggie Carey. They wed in 2006 but filed for divorce in December 2017 citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Following the divorce, Hader went on to date The O.C. cast member Rachel Bilson, making their red carpet debut at the 2020 Golden Globes. They starred together in The To Do List but then broke up by that summer.

As for Kendrick, before Hader, she was most recently linked to British cinematographer Ben Richardson. The two met on the set of the 2013 indie movie Drinking Buddies.
