Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized Thursday morning after she fell in her office Wednesday night and sustained three broken ribs.

Ginsburg, 85, was reportedly admitted to George Washington University Hospital for treatment.

The judge, who is one of the oldest members of the nation’s highest court, has suffered multiple health issues in recent years. In November 2014, Ginsburg underwent a heart procedure. Five years prior, she received treatment for pancreatic cancer. According to The New York Times, Ginsburg broke two ribs in 2012 but did not miss work.

Ginsburg also successfully had surgery for colon cancer in 1999, six years after she was sworn into the Supreme Court as an associate justice under then-President Bill Clinton.

In July, GInsburg said she has no plans to retire soon, and that she sees herself serving on the high court for another five years. However, Democrats have voiced concern that the liberal judge could die or retire soon, which would shift the leaning of the Supreme Court even further to the right, especially after Justice Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed by the Senate last month. President Donald Trump also nominated conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch last year.

Ginsburg, a lifetime advocate and supporter of women’s rights, was the subject of a documentary released over the summer called RBG. Her fight for gender equality is also set to be portrayed in the upcoming biopic film On The Basis of Sex, which will star Felicity Jones as a young Ginsburg.

According to CNN, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway told reporters she’s “praying” for Ginsburg.

“I’ve known her for many, many years — got to see her just a few weeks ago here at the swearing-in of Justice Kavanaugh,” Conway told reporters, adding, “I hope she has a full and speedy recovery.”
