Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s Daughter, To Star On MTV’s ‘Teen Mom OG’ At 27-Years-Old
Though Sarah Palin‘s daughter, Bristol Palin, is no longer a teen, she was a teen mom. A source told TheWrap the 27-year-old will now be joining the cast of MTV’s Teen Mom OG.
Palin now has three children, birthing her first at 17-years-old. Previously, she was engaged to Levi Johnston and is now in the process of divorcing Dakota Meyer.
The addition of the famous new cast member comes after franchise star Farrah Abraham left the show in 2017. She filed a lawsuit against MTV’s parent company Viacom in February, alleging she was “sex shamed” for entering the pornography industry and being unfairly pulled from the spinoff series.
The politician’s daughter will see screentime with Amber Portwood, McKenzie McKee, Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell.
Kailyn Lowry of Teen Mom 2 expressed her surprise with the decision to add Palin to the show via Twitter.
Additionally, a source told RadarOnline that Portwood wasn’t happy with the decision.
“Amber is pissed off about the new cast member. They’ve been doing Teen Mom for ten years and don’t think they like the idea of someone who is a total newbie and has never even been on the show before coming on permanently.”
Another source said Lowell shares the same sentiment as Portwood regarding Palin’s cast onto the show.
“They all just think it’s stupid that they’re bringing people from outside the franchise instead of bringing the OG’s and TM2 cast together.”
Twitterdom also seems to dislike the idea of Palin joining Teen Mom OG.
