A recurring theme as of late is how the existence of certain video games in development by major publishers have been leaked prior to their official announcements. The newest entry in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed saga is the latest title to follow this trend.

ASSASSIN’S CREED ODYSSEY REVEALED, COMING TO E3

On May 31, the French gaming website jeuxvideo-live.com posted an image of a keychain bearing the logo of the unannounced game. Ubisoft formally announced Assassin’s Creed Odyssey themselves later that day with a short teaser trailer:

Unsurprisingly, a more comprehensive look at the game won’t come until E3, which is mere weeks away. However, we do know Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the next core entry in the series, following up on last year’s Assassin’s Creed Origins. Given the presence of the helmet in the logo, fans are speculating this installment’s protagonist will explore ancient Greece. Finally, it’s been suggested that dialogue options will be included as a new feature to the series, and players will be able to choose between a male or female assassin to roam around as.
