Jason Lewis Takes Sarah Jessica Parker’s Side In Feud With Kim Cattrall
Following Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall’s public feud, Jason Lewis — who played Cattrall’s on-screen Sex and the City love interest — appeared to take Parker’s side in an interview with KTLA 5, calling her a “gracious lady” who was always good to him.
“If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all,” he said to KTLA 5. “Listen, I would have to say that Sarah was always just so lovely and such a consummate professional, and I think that people should remember their graciousness and the things that have been given to them, and I’m going to stop there because I’ve got nothing good to say.”
He also said he “might just have to say yeah” when asked if he was on Parker’s side in the controversy.
The tension between Parker and Cattrall was made evident when Warner Bros. decided to cancel Sex and the City 3. Cattrall spoke out saying that she had made it clear in 2016 she didn’t want to do a third movie. She then slammed Parker, saying Parker could have been nicer about the movie not being made.
Their distance furthered when Cattrall chided Parker for her public condolences after Cattrall’s brother passed away.
Cattrall tweeted a photo that said, “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker,” captioning it, “My Mom asked me today “When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?” Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”
