Meghan Markle Asked About Possible Engagement To Prince Harry At ‘Suits’ Press Conference
Although the fervor over Pippa Middleton‘s wedding in May has died down, another royal wedding may be on the horizon.
Actress Meghan Markle, who has been dating Prince Harry for a year, was recently asked if she thought an engagement was in her future while at a press conference alongside her fellow Suits cast mates. She chose not to respond.
The press conference came after Markle, 35, and the rest of the Suits cast attended a panel at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas. Together, the cast performed a live reading of the series’ pilot in celebration of the show’s 100th episode.
While the reading was filmed and streamed live on Facebook, the press conference afterwards was not.
When a reporter asked if the actress “hoped to marry” the Prince, Markle kept quite while smiling and waiting for another question to be asked, according to the Daily Mail.
Much of the relationship between Markle and the Prince, who is fifth in line from the throne, has been based on rumor and speculation.
Although she did not attend the actually ceremony during Middleton’s marriage to James Mathews in May, Markle did attended the reception alongside the Prince.
According to sources close to the royal family, Prince Harry, 32, has already asked his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, permission to marry the American actress.
“The way it’s going, the engagement will probably happen this year,” the source said. “Harry has got approval from the Queen to propose to Meghan, he’s already had those conversations with Her Majesty. An engagement is imminent.”
