New ‘Dance Moms’ Trailer Reveals Abby Lee Miller’s Ongoing Legal Issues
A new teaser for the upcoming sixth season of Dance Moms has premiered and it looks as though this will be the series most drama-filled yet. As well as the fierce competition and rampant backstabbing we’ve come to expect as standard from the show, we’ll be getting some major insight into star coach Abby Lee Miller‘s ongoing legal issues, which could see her face up to five years in prison.

“There’s a lot further for all of you to go,” Miller tells her young students, as they continue to vie for the position of teacher’s pet. Clashes with concerned parents abound, with one protective momma bear vowing to punch Miller in the face and another screaming Miller “needs to shut her f****** mouth.”
The drama really heats up, however, when a gaggle of mothers hear of the hefty list of charges Miller is currently facing. In October, the Department of Justice released a statement revealing Miller faced 20 counts of fraud, concealment of bankruptcy assets and false bankruptcy declarations. If found guilty, she could face five years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both.
The mothers speculate whether Miller will crack under the pressure and contemplate moving their protégée daughters to another school.
Watch the premiere of Dance Moms Season 6 on January 5 at 9/8c on Lifetime.
