Burt Jenner X Games
Burt, who has long been an X Game enthusiast and participant, will be competing in the off-road truck racing competition in theSPEED Energy Formula Off-Road SUPER Truck racing series, according to Entertainment Weekly.
“Finally got to meet the homie @twitchthis88 dude looks like a thug and I’m sure he is when the time is right,” Burt captioned an Instagram snap from the Games. “But I’ve learned over the past couple years this guy is one of the nicest in the industry… Super stoked to have him racing @ssupertrucks with us here at @xgames!”
Jenner has twice earned victories in off-road truck racing events, including last weekend. He also notably competed in the five-day Baja 1000 back in November.
On Sunday, before she broke the Internet with her Vanity Fair cover, Jenner voiced his support for Caitlyn, who yet to make her new name and appearance public.
“I stand behind him fully. One of the things I am most of proud of him for is his transition,” Jenner told The Columbus Dispatch.
“Do I support him fully with everything else in the rest of his life and lot of his decisions? Not necessarily. We disagree on some stuff,” he said, adding, “But he did give me the love for motorsports. He does call me every time I race. I’m sure my phone, I’ll have plenty of texts from him asking ‘What happened. Call me.’”
Burt, who hopes that Caitlyn will be able to come out and see him race in the near future, believes that he got his drive from her.
“Just never giving up. Passion is a difficult thing sometimes; it just never goes away,” Burt explained. “And when you can’t kind of scratch that itch it becomes tough.”
The X Games run from June 4 to June 7.
