U.S. Synchronized Diving Partners David Boudia & Nick McCrory Win Bronze In London
U.S. Olympic diver Nick McCrory, 20, recently sat down with Uinterview to talk about how being synchronized diving partners with David Boudia, 23, for the past two-and-a-half years has really helped both of their games, and the payoff manifested on Monday when Boudia and McCrory scored bronze medals in the 10m synch diving event.
“I think one thing that we do really well is that when we compete together we’ve really learned how to pump each other up and get each other in the zone,” McCrory told us.
At the same time, McCrory and Boudia are both out there to enjoy themselves. “We were up there having fun, enjoying the competition, laughing and having a good time,” McCrory said after the diving event, reports the Chicago Tribune. “We were focused on the process, not winning a medal. We stayed true to our technique and this is where we ended up.”
Boudia, who also spoke exclusively with Uinterview before the Olympic games, had his own take on the event. “It’s just a different perspective going from 2008 to 2012. It’s a totally different journey. It was a cool triumph for Nick and I and a cool win for USA diving,” he said.
