Roger Federer Welcomes Twin Boys With Wife Mirka; Drops Out Of Madrid Open
Roger Federer and his wife Mirka welcomed twin boys they’ve named Leo and Lenny on Tuesday.
Federer, who previously welcomed twin girls with Mirka, announced the more recent baby news on Twitter. “Mirka and I are so incredibly happy to share that Leo and Lenny were born this evening! #TwinsAgain #Miracle,” Federer tweeted.
Four and a half years ago, the longtime couple celebrated the birth of their identical twin daughters, Myla and Charlene.
Due to the birth of his twin boys, Federer made the decision to pull himself out of the Madrid Open and released a statement on Facebook to inform his fans.
“I’ve decided to withdraw from Madrid to be with my wife Mirka during these next few exciting weeks for our family," he wrote. "I apologize to my fans and hope to be back in Madrid next year. I’ll be training near my home, and am excited to rejoin the Tour soon!”
