The lineup for the three-day music festival Lollapalooza, which will be held this summer on August 3-5 in Chicago's Grant Park, has been announced, with musical heavyweights Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, The Shins, and Black Sabbath topping the lists.

Black Sabbath, which will be on tour at the time, will play their only North American location of 2012 at the Lollapalooza festival, which will also bill such musical acts as Florence and the Machine, At the Drive-In, Franz Ferdinand, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Bloc Party, Sigur Ros, Justice, and Avicii.

More than 120 performers will take the stage during the three-day Lollapalooza extravaganza, and they were all announced on Wednesday by Lollapalooza founder and producer Perry Farrell, the former frontman of Jane's Addiction and Porno for Pyros. Farrell created Lollapalooza in 1991 as a farewell tour for Jane's Addiction, and Lollapalooza has since helped lend exposure to hundreds of bands.

More than 160,000 people are expected to attend Lollapalooza. You can purchase tickets via the Lollapalooza website.
