Khloe Kardashian has filed divorce from NBA player Lamar Odom after months of speculation that the pair was headed for a split.

Khloe Kardashian Files For Divorce

In the filing drawn up by celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser, Kardashian checked the box for “irreconcilable differences,” according to E News. The reality TV personality and Odom signed a prenup prior to wedding one month after meeting one another, making for a relative cut and dry divorce. Kardashian, who is worth roughly $18 million, stands to collect $500,000 for each of the four years they’ve been married, reported RadarOnline. She’s also likely to get their $4 million Tarazana, Calif., abode.

In addition to the prenup that skews in Kardashian’s favor, there’s a $10 million life insurance policy the basketball star purchased for her during their marriage.

Lamar Odom's Drug Abuse, Cheating Rumors

While cheating rumors have plagued the couple for a while, revelations of Odom’s drug use over the summer appears to have been a major catalyst of the divorce. The youngest Kardashian sister reportedly made repeated efforts to help Odom get help for his alleged addiction to crack cocaine. Despite that, Odom apparently continued to go off the rails, leading to a DUI charge.

The last straw for Kardashian, who was proactively trying to mend her marriage as recently as November in couple’s therapy, was a damning video of her husband rapping that leaked. Shirtless and nearly incoherent, Odom spits out lines about making money, doing drugs and cheating on his wife.

Neither Kardashian nor Lamar have commented on the split.
