A number of same-sex couples married in a mass ceremony held at a Bangkok shopping mall as a law legalizing same-sex marriage came into effect on Thursday, Jan. 23. The landmark law made Thailand the first Southeast Asian country to legalize same-sex marriage and the third in Asia after Taiwan and Nepal.
