Protesters were seen barricading and confronting police as thousands took to the streets on Thursday evening, November 28, against the country’s decision to halt European Union accession talks until 2028.
Three employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were injured overnight, the MIA said. About 10 journalists from various media outlets were also injured, according to local news reports.
In a statement on Thursday, the MIA said some of the protesters were physically confronting and insulting law enforcement officers. Protestors aimed laser pointers at officers.
