VIDEO EXCLUSIVE: ‘The Boys’ Stars Erik Moriarty, Karen Fukuhara & Claudia Doumit Dish On Surprises From New Season

Stars of the cult Prime Video series The Boys, Erin Moriarty, Claudia Doumit and Karen Fukuhara, revealed behind-the-scenes secrets from their time on set in their new uInterview.

The Boys, whose fourth season was just released, is a television show set in a universe where superheroes are recognized by the general public and work for a powerful corporation known as Vought International. Most of the superheroes are corrupt and self-serving when not acting as their heroic personas.

The three actresses shared their favorite off-screen moments they felt sure to remember. “We were in the makeup trailer one day, and we saw Colby [Minifie], who plays Ashley, come back from her Dominatrix, and she comes in in these hot latex boots,” Fukuhara told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “It was a big slay. She looked so good.”

Moriarty agreed, “That whole episode, not giving anything away, was a big moment for me to, like, step back and be, like, damn…”

Doumit said, “Mine’s boring, I rolled my ankle…it was the last take, and I go, ‘Let’s put the heels on.'” She laughed that her ankle still hurts.

When asked about what challenges each had to overcome in the new season, Moriarty said, “I feel like for myself it was the fact that every previous season, the primary challenge has been in the emotional component of the show for me, and this time it was equally physical and emotional.”

She continued, “That was overwhelming at times, but also merging the two and making sure the emotional infused the physical was such a challenge because I just show up and be present and follow the choreography, but every moment you must be present for.”

Fukuhara shared her experience: “I think one of the biggest challenges was going through the not-so-fun parts of growing pains. I’ve had such a great time doing scenes with Tomer [Capone], who plays Frenchie, and doing all the stunt sequences. We even got a musical number, and then suddenly, this season, I’m all alone. I’m alone, and I have to face my own demons, and I think that kind of inner work was a big challenge because you have no one else to blame but yourself.”

Doumit said, “For me, it was just knowing something and not playing that. Just knowing where something ends up, and then just very much having that knowledge but not having it seep into anything.”

The Boys’ fourth season is streaming now on Prime Video.
