Star Jones walked the catwalk on Wednesday for the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women fashion show in February.
The former host of The View has been a national volunteer for the AHA for a decade. Ten years ago, Jones was diagnosed with heart disease and had to have open-heart surgery. Now, she works to bring awareness to heart disease in women.
“With simple lifestyle changes literally 80% of heart disease can be preventable,” said Jones in reference to a study done by the Centers for Disease Control.
