Sammy Fourlas, a popular star on TikTok where he posts funny videos, spoke about his role in The Big Door Prize, an Apple TV+ show about the natives of a small city named Deerfield who come upon a mysterious machine that forecasts their fate in their local supermarket, at SXSW in his new uInterview.
When looking back on the shoot, Fourlas said, “I have so many [memories]. I really like this one night where we were doing night shoots, [co-star] Djouliet Amara, and I and it was so cold outside, it was freezing and at first we were kind of like almost pissed, tired, and pissed and cold and then as it went on, that kind of feeling kicked in of like experience the moment, enjoy the moment and yeah, I always reflect on that one man because it plays the whole life potential thing and just really relishing everything you have.”
Fourlas also revealed his secret gift. “Sammy’s secret talent? I’m super decent at chess, I would say definitely middle of the pack,” he noted. “What do I have that’s really weird? I can do like that train whistle that people do, you know you cup your hands together. I can lick my elbow – my friends used to joke that I should go on America’s Got Talent, lick my elbow and drop the mic. I think that’s all that I have to my name so that’s perfect.”

Fourlas’s StayGoofy TikTok channel, which he started in 2013, has amassed 1.3 million fans.
Big Door Prize, starring Chris O’Dowd and Gabrielle Dennis, is available to stream now on Apple TV+.
