Rapper NextYoungin delved into details of her creative process as she answered fan questions in an exclusive uInterview.
The rapper and hip-hop artist known for singles like “Young Boss Anthem” and “Need That.” She has also recorded music under the professional name Daddy Kaine. Her popularity led to more than 100,000 followers on Instagram.
NextYoungin explained that her moniker, “Daddy Kaine,” “Was always inside of me; we just gave her a name.”
The rapper considered what artist she would most love to feature in her music: “My dream feature is Justin Bieber. I love Justin Bieber so much.”
She counted off her fingers her top five female rap artists of all time:
“Flo Milli, GloRilla, myself,” — she laughed – “Kehlani. And the last one would have to be Cairo.”
Answering a fan, NextYoungin explained her inspirations. “It’s kind of hard to say where I get my inspiration from because a lot of my inspiration comes from what I live and the things I experience,” she said. “It’s never really from looking at somebody else or hearing somebody else doing something making me want to do it; it’s really just my own personal experiences.”
In response to a fan, the rapper gave a tour of her tattoos.
“I have 12 tattoos, at least 12 or 13. They all have different meanings. It’s just really where I was mentally in life at that time.”
She proceeded to share some of the body art highlights.
When asked what her fans would be surprised to learn about her, NextYoungin honestly said, “I’m a pretty open book, they pretty much know everything about me. There’s nothing that would really be a surprise that they don’t already know. I guess the surprise is that I’m very versatile with how I look and how I present myself, that’s the surprise right there.”
