VIDEO EXCLUSIVE: Nat Wolff & Brittany O’Grady On Favorite Moments Working With Christoph Waltz On ‘The Consultant’

In Prime Video’s series The Consultant, viewers follow the story of Craig (Nat Wolff) and Elaine’s (Brittany O’Grady) failing company CompWare when a mysterious consultant, Mr. Patoff (Christoph Waltz), comes to fix their problems. But it leaves the question of how far the two are willing to go to save their company.

In an exclusive interview with uInterview founder Erik Meers, Wolff and O’Grady revealed their favorite moments of working with Waltz.

“I think some of my favorite parts of working with Christoph – Nat and I worked with Christoph a lot separately because that’s where Patoff had his kind of power over both of them but I loved working with Christoph,” O’Grady said. “It was such a dream and he was so gracious and so kind and such a gentle spirit and I love that. He’s like forthright with his opinions and he’s also willing to listen and we talk about life we talk about all these different things and he’s an incredibly genuine man and to be able to work with someone who is influential and that’s so wonderful is such a big opportunity for any young actor coming up in the business so it’s been wonderful for us.”

“I said it’s like being on a basketball team with LeBron James,” Wolff laughed. “You’re just like, ‘how did I get traded to this team, thank God, how do I stay here so I can win a championship?’ Because he’s just an incredible actor, he’s also such a good leader and, you know, of all the great actors I’ve worked with, he is definitely the most paternal and he really took Brittany and me under his wing and, you know, I still get really lovely text from him and that he signs off ‘xx Christoph Waltz.’”

Wolff also discussed how he learned from Waltz.

“I think to me he just leads by example,” he explained. “He’s happy, he’s actually so warm and present and magnetic in real life, that’s why I think he’s such a good villain because he doesn’t have a villainous bone in his body but, you know, it’s like if you hire a real a–hole to play a villain you just don’t want to even watch it, but you hire somebody like him to play a villain and he’s such an oddball that you just can’t help but lean in and watch.”

The Consultant will be available for streaming on Prime Video on February 24.
