The film Eileen follows the title character (Thomasin McKenzie) as she works at a prison when a mysterious love interest, Rebecca (Anne Hathaway), joins the staff.

Rebecca offers a chance at connection, but also danger as she’s in something much deeper than Eileen ever could have guessed.

The film, based on the novel of the same name by Ottessa Moshfegh, premiered at Sundance Film Festival where uInterview spoke to co-star Marin Ireland.

“There’s a big scene where I was rolling around with Anne [Hathaway] after we shot a big scene together in the attic of a disgusting house in New Jersey,” Ireland said. “We were pretty much done with the big work for the night, it was like five in the morning. We were rolling around on the carpet in the attic and I remember thinking, ‘oh the glamour of it all.’”

Ireland continued, “That’s the kind of moment you could never imagine when you’re a little baby actress just starting out and then you’re like, ‘wow I would never have believed this if someone told me one day I’d be rolling on an attic floor with Anne Hathaway.’”
