In an exclusive interview with uInterview founder Erik Meers, Hopper Penn revealed that his first acting experience was working with his dad, Sean Penn.
“How I got into acting the first time was that I asked my dad on a movie he did if I could be the PA,” Penn began. “Like three months before they went and started shooting, I asked again and he’s like, ‘no, you’re going to be in it.’ And I was like absolutely not and he’s like, “well, you’ll get paid and you’ll get to learn how to fly helicopters.’ And I was like, ‘sold’ and then I did it and working with my dad, I thought it was going to be a nightmare because he’s my dad, but I had great time and, you know, if I can have a great time with him, I can have a great time on a lot of other sets.”
