Star Trek: Picard star Jeri Ryan joked that she could’ve fallen on her face on the catwalk at the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women fashion show on Wednesday.
“They didn’t teach me how to walk, but you know, there’s always a high likelihood of me falling on my face when I’m wearing heels. So you know, it’ll add to the action!” she said.
She said that friends who recently had strokes inspired her to work with the AHA.

“A couple friends in my life, young women, one in her forties and one in her early fifties, who had strokes in the last couple of years, which is really scary,” she said
Ryan wore a floor-length one-shoulder dress designed by Tadashi Shoji, an American-based Japanese designer.
“It’s very classic, old Hollywood, one shoulder, very pretty,” Ryan said.
