Michael Cera teams up with writer-director Sebastian Silva for his latest adventure comedy Crystal Fairy & The Magical Cactus. Cera plays a young man traveling in Chile who along with his friends, invites an eccentric woman to join their quest of finding a psychedelic drug from the San Pedro cactus. “I think this kind of substances kind of help step out of yourself and like see things differently. So I highly recommend kids to take drugs,” Silvia told uInterview exclusively.
Cera moved to Chile and studied Spanish for the role. “We were going to go make this other film Magic Magic and then it just kept getting delayed so I ended up staying there a lot longer than I’d planned … and I can’t wait to go back. I think I have a lot of friends there now and it really feels like I have a second family there now,” Cera told uInterview.
