Madeline Brewer & Madeleine Martin On ‘Hemlock Grove,’ The Prosthetic Eye [VIDEO EXCLUSIVE]

Madeline Brewer and Madeleine Martin play Miranda and Shelley respectively on the Netflix original series Hemlock Grove. Shelley, the reanimated child of the Godfrey’s, looks especially creepy with that ominous prosthetic eye that her character needs to see. “Probably the biggest challenge was not being able to read in between takes,” Martin told uInterview of the eye. “I normally read to relax, and your depth perception is completely off when you can only see out of one eye.”

Apart from having from homophonous names, Madeline and Madeleine were also both newcomers to world of Hemlock Grove. “For myself, coming on to set coming on to this new show, it was good character preparation,” Brewer told uInterview, “being an outsider also playing an outsider. We started on the same footing, myself and Miranda.”
