Kyle Busch, the race car driver for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series, currently holds the records for most race wins in a season across the top three NASCAR series with 24 wins and also for the most wins in all three of NASCAR’s national touring series combined with 126. On the eve of Daytona 2014, Busch spoke to Uinterview about the increasing number of wrecks this season. “Well, I think the closing rate is different. You know, these cars are a little bit different than the ones we had last year even though the only thing we changed was a half inch of spoiler on the back of the car,” he told Uinterview. “We raised it a half inch, so you know the closing rate’s different. The amount that the car speeds up to the car in front of it or once it gets there, slows down and then the car behind it runs into it so a lot of accordion action going on and just a lot of guys aren’t quite ready for that.”
