Comedian Kathy Griffin didn’t pull any punches in a new exclusive video with uInterview.com – President Donald Trump directed the FBI to investigate her.  “He’s not doing a lot of president-ing, if you notice,” Griffin told uInterview’s Erik Meers. “I feel like this is the sort of thing [investigating] that he would be happy to spend a couple of hours of his day doing.”

She’s reflecting on dealing with the FBI while touring internationally with her Laugh Your Head Off World Tour now. “Every president has been parodied in every possible way, so the fact that they took it so far—when I went overseas and played 15 different countries and 23 cities, I was detained at every airport because I’m still on the Interpol list,” she said.

When the infamous photo came out of her holding a mask with ketchup which looked like a bloody severed head she got advice from another comedian on how to handle the recoil from everyone. “I got a great call from Jim Carrey and I was sobbing. I said, ‘Is it over? You can tell me, I’m a big girl’ Griffin says. “He said ‘Kathy, you have a story that any comedian would give their right arm for. You’re the most famous comedian in the world today, use it’” and that’s exactly what she plans to do.

On her comedy tour, it’s not only about Trump. “I read a note on stage that I got from Billy Bush and I’m just telling you it’s funny, I don’t know if it was meant to be funny but it’s real and it’s funny,” said Griffin. She also recalls “being banned for life from CNN”  and during the entire ordeal of dealing with the backlash from the photo, her neighbors happened to be Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West. “Don’t act like you don’t want to hear about the first time my boyfriend and I went over to their house, because you do and I tell it in graphic detail,” she said.

“I tell the Trump stuff because it is the elephant in the room, people do want to hear the gory details but I sort of pepper it throughout the show with comedy because I want to remind people this is stuff we can laugh at now—time has passed, nobody was injured in the taking of this photo, no animals were harmed,” said Griffin.

The ‘Laugh Your Head Off’ tour kicks off at Radio City Music Hall in New York on June 25.
