She plays one of those mean Gossip Girls on TV. Now Jessica Szohr got to stay one step ahead of those pesky fish in Piranha 3D.

Q: What was the most exciting scene for you to film in Piranha 3D?

A: I had a really good time filming – I have to say I was totally out of breath afterward and couldn’t breathe but it was fun – the frying pan scene, to be honest. The stuntmen were shooting water guns at me, so I knew exactly where to hit, but it was really fun. I mean the boat was actually kind of sinking while we were doing it, and it was really intense and scary, but I had a blast doing it.

Q: I heard that you and co-star Kelly Brook went on a road trip to Vegas. Could you tell us some things that happened?

A: [Kelly] and one of my best friends and I decided to go to Vegas, because we had off for a couple days, and we were driving and we on this big, long road that just kept winding, and the driver was going super slow, didn’t know if he was going in the right direction. And then all of a sudden we were getting pulled over, and the driver decided to just get out of the car. Not pull over, just jump out. And we’re like ‘what the heck!’ and the cops draw their guns, and we’re on the backseat with our heads down, our hands up. And we couldn’t move. It was very interesting. It was definitely a good start to our Vegas weekend. We didn’t have to get out of the car or anything, but it was definitely scary. I mean, they’re like, ‘Put your heads down! Put your hands up!’ And we’re like, the three of us, in the back of this car, getting ready to go to Vegas, and there’s guns pointed at us. We’re like, ‘what’s going on?’ But yeah, it was interesting.

Q: I’m a huge Gossip Girl fan, and I was just wondering what we could expect from Vanessa in the next season?

A: We just started back up on our 4th season. And you know, where we left off Vanessa basically gets a text from Nate saying something’s going on with Dan and Serena. So she’s coming back and, you know, I don’t know if she wants to sort it out with Dan, if she’ll have another love interest come on. I’m not really sure how much I can say or not say. But it’s a lot of drama, a lot of fashion, of course, music. Katie Cassidy comes on and plays a role for awhile with us and she brings a whole other dynamic, which has really been fun – to work with her. Yeah, there’s babies involved and a lot of craziness.

Q: Since the movie Piranha 3D takes place in and around water, I was wondering if you or any of the other cast members had a fear of water before you started filming.

A: I’m not the biggest water fan; I’ll be honest. I’ll go swimming once in a while in the summer on a hot day, but I’m not . . . you know . . . I’ve tried surfing and one time a wave pushed me so far underneath, and I couldn’t find my way back up and I was freaking out. And the other thing is, even working, like we did this film on the lake, and like . . . lakes are eerie and scary, and you don’t know what’s underneath you, and yeah, I’m not the biggest water fan. So, it was interesting, because I was in the water for two and a half months.
