It's my third or fourth time working with these guys... After every night we wrapped- on the island we didn't have trailers so we converted a spa area for a dressing room with a pool in the middle. So Jason [Bateman], John and Vince and I after we would shoot we would go there and unwind and the stars would be all up. Most of the stuff we'd talk about was family stuff and how we could help each other. It's not like people would think, that we would go around putting bananas in our asses and go, 'Heeeyyy!' Pranky. It was more like how could we be better people.
There's a scene where we're in the jungle. And Vinny, he knows what makes me laugh. So he goes 'We gotta get in, and get out.' He goes and
puts his hand on my back and I couldn't stop laughing. That and the scene where Vince tells Jean Reno to get the french out of his mouth.
[Laughs.] Who would think of that? They cut that stuff out so the DVD stuff is gonna be crazy. There's a club that we were going to to that
we find in the middle of the jungle cause we're lost and it's called The White Swallow. You gotta wait until the DVD comes out. This is
bananas.
Peter Billingsley came to me and said, 'Most actors put a sock or something on [their penis for nude scenes].' There wasn't enough material for a sock for me. And they couldn't fly one in for the weight regulations of the island or something... What was funny was that after we did the [nude] scene, I kept getting gifts from people on the island. They would take a pineapple and coconut and make a 42" plasma [for me].
There's a scene where Vince is snorkeling and some shark show up and it's kind of a challenging scene. Vince is such a comedically
talented funny guy even in a situation like that where we didn't in essence have trained sharks on the set, he's able to come up with so
much great comedy in the moment. It was scripted but there's a lot of effects and sharks that aren't necessarily there so things like that
become challenging. But when you have an actor like Vince who's so funny in the moment and able to look at what might not be a shark and
have exactly what's intended to be in front of him, he's just able to come up with so many great lines on the spot.
