Singer Nohemy answered fans’ questions about her favorite singers and first celebrity crush in her new uInterview.

Nohemy was born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. At 16 she moved to the United States after she was recognized as a promising basketball player. However, instead, she unexpectedly joined the music scene instead. Nohemy’s confident multicultural perspective promotes the Latin Pop-Urban movement with a fresh sound.

A fan wondered what song by another artist Nohemy wished she had written. Nohemy told uInterview founder Erik Meers, “Oh, that’s a good question – I’ve never gotten that one. Let me see… I would say, Rihanna, ‘Diamonds’, my god, that’s such a good song – I was listening to it yesterday actually.”

Asked what her dream city to perform in would be, Nohemy replied instantly, “I would have to say Puerto Rico… definitely. This is home, so I think it would be full circle for me.”

In response to a fan’s question about her first celebrity crush, Nohemy laughed and said, “Oh my god, my first celebrity crush – I mean, I think a lot of girls can relate to this, but it was definitely Justin Bieber.

Named by her mother, Nohemy is the singer’s legal name, and she was nicknamed “Noh” as a child. Her 2023 album NOHAUS was inspired by said nickname and created over the course two years, mainly via Zoom and Muse. The album was co-produced with her friend and German producer, The CRVV.

To celebrate the WNBA’s 25th anniversary, her song “Game Boy” was dropped in collaboration with the league.
