In the romantic comedy What If, Wallace (Daniel Radcliffe) gets caught up in the "friend zone" with his longtime friend Chantry (Zoe Kazan). As the actors walked the red carpet, they shared their opinions with uInterview on how to turn a friend into a lover. “I would say stop trying to get out of the friend zone,” Kazan told uInterview. “I would say enjoy being that person's friend and seek other romantic endeavors.”
Others were more optimistic. “You've got to do something that's a little bit out of your comfort zone,” advised co-star Ben Rappaport. “You have to just kind of come out and be honest about it, say how you really feel. It can go either way, and you know, what's the worst thing that can happen? It's a yes or no." Megan Park, who plays the role of Dalia in the film, was actually successful in getting out of the 'friend zone' herself. “Because I'm engaged, so I guess I did. I was in the 'friend zone' with him just as friends and now we're going to be married,” said Park. “That's kind of exciting.”
