Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band Green Day, has asked fans for help after his car, a 1962 Chevy II was stolen on Saturday.
The musician took to Twitter to ask for help in reporting any knowledge of the theft to Costa Mesa police. He also wrote that the car is “near and dear to all of our hearts and has been in the GD family for over 30 years.” He even included the incident numbers for his police reports to help fans make more accurate tips.
According to a law enforcement report, the robbery took place between Friday night and Saturday morning. The robbers not only got away with Armstrong’s car, but also two electric guitars and an amp.
