Vaccine Skeptic Joe Rogan Gets COVID-19, Treated With Cow Drug Ivermectin

Eccentric Spotify podcaster Joe Rogan has contracted COVID-19 after being insistently anti-vaccine. On his popular podcast, Rogan has previously claimed that young people did not need the vaccine. He’s gone further to offer refunds to those who bought tickets to his New York shows after Bill de Blasio required vaccination to attend. Healthcare officials have spoken out strongly against Rogan’s comments on COVID.

Rogan, who has never discussed his vaccination status, exhibited COVID symptoms over the weekend. In an Instagram video, he discussed his experience stating that “Throughout the night, I got fevers, sweats, and I knew what was going on.”

He was treated with the drug ivermectin which healthcare officials have called a scam. The drug targets parasitic infections but was not approved for treatment against COVID. In fact, it is more commonly used on horses and cows. In response to an earlier rise in ivermectin treatments, the FDA tweeted: “You are not horses. You are not cows. Seriously, y’all. Stop it.”
