Selena Gomez, 27, has just surprised fans with some new music. The “Bad Liar” singer released “Lose You To Love Me” on October 23 and then “Look At Her Now” the next day. Both are evidently about her high-profile, tumultuous relationship with international pop star Justin Bieber, 25. In the former, Gomez expresses the struggles with moving on from a toxic relationship and in the latter, she comes to terms with being single and expresses she is happy for the past experiences that have made her more of an independent woman.

When dropping “Lose You To Love Me,” she tweeted her fans to “thank them for standing by her side through the highs and lows.”

Gomez was not the only one to break her silence on social media, but so was Bieber’s wife of one year, Hailey Bieber, 22, who Justin had gotten engaged to just four months after his split from on-again-off-again partner Gomez.

Just minutes after Gomez dropped her new single, Hailey posted Summer Walker’s “I’ll Kill You” single (featuring Jhene Aiko) on her Instagram story. While the super model claims her song choice was not any kind of response to Gomez’s single, Seleners were quick to pronounce her story as an attack against the former Disney star.

Ultimately, Gomez took to her Instagram story to beg fans to stop the accusations and hate messages. “I am grateful for the response that the song is getting. I’m so grateful. However, I do not stand for women tearing women down. And I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter what the situation is. If you’re my fans, don’t be rude to anybody, please,”  she urged.
