‘Saturday Night Live’ To Bring Back Entire Cast For New Season

Following announcements that the famed show would be returning to the air for its 46th season, Saturday Night Live has confirmed that its entire cast will be returning in October. It will be the first time since 2007 that there was no change in casting between seasons.

The news comes amid speculation that Chris Redd, Kate McKinnon, and Pete Davidson would all be leaving the show. McKinnon was thought to have been focusing on her two other shows in progress, and the previous season’s finale ended on her waving goodbye to the camera. Redd also has a new primetime comedy set to star in. Davidson, however, started the rumors that he would be quitting himself during an interview with Charlamagne Tha God.

“I’m literally painted out to be this big dumb idiot,” he says in the video. “I personally think I should be done with that show because they make fun of me on it.”

Davidson also skipped the SNL party celebrating the end of the 45th season at L’Avenue at Saks.

Nonetheless, the three will be returning to the cast in October, alongside Kenan Thompson, Beck Bennett, Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Mikey Day, Heidi Gardner, Colin Jost, Alex Moffatt, Kyle Mooney, Cecily Strong, and Melissa Villaseñor. Featured players Chloe Fineman, Ego Nwodim, and Bowen Yang will also be making appearances in the show. A host and musical guest still have yet to be announced.
