Rose McGowan Says She Was Raped by a Hollywood Studio Head
Actress Rose McGowan revealed that she was raped by an unnamed Hollywood studio head. She joined a discussion on Twitter, using the hashtag #WhyWomenDontReport, expressing her thoughts and experiences with rape culture.
The 43-year-old actress said that when she looked into bringing a case against her rapist, she was told that because she’d “done a sex scene in a film,” she “would never win against the studio head.”

A widespread discussion started last week after women came out with sexual assault complaints against presidential candidate Donald Trump. Trump rejected the allegations as “false” and “completely fabricated.”
McGowan also recently participated in a video titled “Women Can Stop Trump,” where she criticized some of the candidate’s statements about women. The actress urged women to vote and take a pledge to stand against Trump’s misogynistic remarks.
