Roger Waters, co-founder of Pink Floyd, announced plans for new tour next year, “Us and Them,” starting May 26, 2017, in Kansas City and ending at Oct. 28 in Vancouver.
His latest tour since his 2010-2013 tour “The Wall,” Waters is going to be performing a mix of Pink Floyd songs and solo work. He named the tour after a song that he wrote for the 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon. “I was listening to [the song] the other day,” he said. “There’s a line which goes, ‘With, without, and who’ll deny that’s what the fighting’s all about?’… Almost everyone will deny that ‘with/without’ is what the fighting’s all about. My contention is that it is. That’s why my new tour is going to be called ‘Us and Them.’ It’s specifically about that line.”
The international, multi-state tour will spanning a large area, from Ontario to Texas. “Seventy-five percent… old material and 25 percent will be new, but it will be all connected by a general theme,” he said. “It’ll be spectacular like all my shows have been.”
Tickets go on sale on Friday, Oct, 21.
