Shirlene Quigley, Rihanna And Beyonce Backup Dancer, Found Safe After Going Missing

Shirlene Quigley, a backup dancer for Beyoncé and Rihanna who was reported missing last week, was found last Thursday and now is breaking her silence about her disappearance.

Quigley, who got her start in Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” video, is reportedly safe and has received medical treatment at an undisclosed medical facility. Authorities located Quigley on Tuesday after “an extensive search.”

It was a 911 caller who helped locate the woman, recognizing her from a flier seeking her return. The caller then followed up by notifying police in the woman’s hometown of North Bergen Township of her whereabouts. Quigley was picked up by authorities and admitted to a hospital in New York under a false name she had given. The dancer’s identity was confirmed through a physical description that included several unique tattoos.

The dancer, who has performed with Rihanna, was last seen at Port Authority around 1 a.m. on Oct. 23, before she went missing. Her phone was found by police in a bridal store in the Chelsea area of New York City and her car was found at a rental car facility in New Jersey.

Rihanna and rapper Missy Elliott posted photos of Quigley on their social media accounts, begging fans to help find her. They recently both expressed their relief recently on Instagram.

“God is so merciful!!! Happy you’re alive and safe @shirlenequigley” Rihanna captioned under her post using a picture of herself with the dancer.

“I’m just thankful you are still here with us today,” Elliott wrote.

Quigley shared a photo of herself and members of North Bergen’s police force and thanked them for working to ensure her safety. “Thank you everyone for your prayers, love, and support… GOD is so good… special unconditional thank you to our NYPD who literally served and protected… we are so blessed beyond measure to have people like these gentleman who put their lives on the line daily to help us,” she wrote. “I am spending time with family and will return to the dance floor Monday… words can not express the joy and gratitude my souls feels Love you all more then words look forward to hug and see you all soon.”

The North Bergen Police shared the photo as well saying, “We are beyond pleased this situation has come to a successful conclusion.”
