Richard Linklater To Direct Robert Downey, Jr. In Movie Adapted From Podcast ‘Reply All’

Richard Linklater and Robert Downey, Jr. are adapting an episode of a podcast into a feature film.

LINKLATER AND DOWNEY JR. ADAPTING PODCAST EPISODE

Gimlet Media’s Podcast, Reply All, has signed a deal with Linklater and Downey to adapt a recent episode into a feature-length film.

The episode Linklater and Downey Jr. have chosen for adaptation revolves around a Con Man using the radio to scam the public and climb the social ladder. Linklater is set to direct, while Downey will play the lead.

Reply All is no stranger to films. In 2015, Reply All was one of five podcasts features in a live event broadcast to theaters across the country.

No date has been set for release or the beginning of production on the film.
