Veterans Day was celebrated Monday as a way to pay respect to the Veterans who have proudly served our country and many stars took the opportunity to post their gratitude.
Veterans were celebrated by many today, and some celebrities took today to thank the veterans in their own families. Reese Witherspoon took to Twitter to share her thankfulness for the veterans in her life. The Big Little Lies star posted, “As a little girl, I grew up on US Military bases around the world. Today, I would like to extend my gratitude to all the military families out there who are making huge sacrifices for our country. I am grateful for you all.”
Witherspoon was one of many stars who shared a similar message today. Chris Pratt posted a photo of his brother, Cully, to Instagram. “This is my older brother Cully #happyveteransday,” he shared with a message about his brother’s service in the army. “Today I celebrate Cully, as well as my cousin Curtis, Uncle Steve, Uncle Skip, second Cousins, Joey, Ryan, and Alex, besties Jared and Jeffrey.”
Katy Perry shared a short and sweet message, thanking her father for his service. “Veterans have a big place in my heart, starting with my dad. Happy Veterans Day and thank you for your service today and every day.” the singer wrote on Instagram.
