R. Kelly is back in jail for the second time this week after he failed to pay child support to his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly.
Kelly owes Andrea more than $160,000 in back child support following a meeting at the Daley Center in Chicago. The two share three children – Joann, 21, Jay, 19, and Robert, 17.
In a recent interview with CBS This Morning, the 52-year-old singer talked about his recent issues and his financial situation.
“How can I pay child support? How? If my ex-wife is destroying my name and I can’t work? How can I work? How can I get paid? How can I take care of my kids? How?,” said Kelly in the interview.
“So many people have been stealin’ my money. People was connected to my account. I went into — I went by myself for the first time to a Bank of America. Didn’t know what I was doing. Didn’t know what the hell was going on,” Kelly continued.
Since the release of the documentary, Surviving R. Kelly, more women have come forward with allegations against the singer, and while Kelly vehemently denies these claims, his finances have been severely crippled.
