Nicki Minaj Shares First Look Of Her App Game, ‘Nicki Minaj: The Empire’

While waiting for her new album to be released before the end of this year, Nicki Minaj is getting into the mobile gaming business.

From the creators of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood – Glu Mobile – a new mobile game, centered around Minaj’s entrepreneur-mogul lifestyle, will drop on Dec. 8. The rapper shared a short preview of the game – titled Nicki Minaj: The Empire – on her Instagram page on Wednesday, and it looks a lot like the Kardashian-Jenner games.

“This year for my birthday I’m giving my fans the most incredible gift ever,” Minaj captioned on Instagram. “#NickiMinajTheEMPIRE – in just one week you’ll get to create your own Rap Empire where you can record yourself rapping on the same track as me. I can’t contain my excitement about this GAME/APP. We’ve been working on it for a long time. You’re going to FALL IN LOVE with it. Not only can u perform in the game, you go to the studio, record and play it back, share it with others in the game, visit PRIVATE chat rooms, dress yourself & friends with a million clothes options, change your wig color, your highlights, your ROOTS, your makeup!!! lol y’all ready?!?? I AM!!!!”

Just like Kim Kardashian’s app, players can customize their own avatar’s clothing, hair and makeup, as well as customizing an apartment and throwing parties.

However, according to Minaj’s post, there will be some extra content exclusive to her game. Earlier this year, Vibe reported that players will also be able to create music videos in the app. According to MTV, players can also “perform with your crew at the hottest clubs and music venues.”

The game will be launched on both iOS and Android platforms, and users will be able to chat with each other in private rooms.

As the “Anaconda” singer is still venturing outside of the music industry, she has also developed a television show for Freeform.

Minaj has recently given her fans a little taste of what is to come with “Black Barbies,” a remix of Rae Sremmurd’s hit single “Black Beatles,” slamming Donald Trump.

Glu Mobile has also partnered up with Britney Spears, Jason Statham, Katy Perry, Kylie and Kendall Jenner to bring them their own mobile games. Since Kim Kardashian: Hollywood accounted for 31% of the company’s revenue in 2014, they are hoping with Minaj’s millions of followers that it will be just as successful.
