The Millers has been canceled just four episodes into its second season, for which the show had added Will and Grace alum Sean Hayes in a futile effort to save it.
CBS canceled The Millers after the comedy continued to flounder in the ratings, reported Entertainment Weekly. The show will air Monday, Nov. 17, but it’s uncertain whether or not other episodes that have already been filmed will air. Production will be shut down on Tuesday.
When The Millers first aired on CBS, it pulled in 13 million viewers in its premiere. The ratings eventually slipped and producers on the show decided to bring in Hayes for a rating boost for the show’s second season. The premiere did okay, getting 8.93 million viewers. For its latest show, however, The Millers only had 6.48 million viewers tuning in.
The Millers starred Will Arnett as a divorced reporter who has close relationships with his parents, played by Margo Martindale and Beau Bridges, respectively.
In addition to The Millers, Selfie, Manhattan Love Story, Bad Judge and A to Z have all been canceled.
