During her speech at the Florida Republican Party annual dinner, Kimberly Guilfoyle practically had to beg her audience to clap.
Guilfoyle, the fiancée of the former president’s son, Don Jr., said she hoped the Democrats would lose seats in Congress and give control of the White House to Republicans.
“I’m here to tell you don’t lose hope. On a personal note, I can tell you that I am as hopeful as ever. Because Americans from all walks of life have had enough of the Democrats’ decline,” she told the audience in Hollywood, Florida.
“And we are ready, we are willing and we are able to spark a new era of American exceptionalism,” she continued, receiving a few claps scattered throughout an otherwise silent room of 700 audience members.
“You can clap for that!” she said, prompting a few more attendees to join in.
The reaction to Guilfoyle’s pro-Republican sentiments may be due to her low-tier spot in the event’s speaker lineup, which included Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody and Florida Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart (R) and Byron Donalds (R).
The audience finally cheered when Guilfoyle walked off the stage and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) took over.
In August, old photos of Guilfoyle prompted a conversation about whether she has undergone plastic surgery in recent years.
