The youngest of the Kardashian sisters is helping people change their bodies in the trailer for the upcoming E! reality series Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian.
After her split from ex-husband Lamar Odom, the reality star joins forces with a team of trainers and stylists for her show and opens up about weight battle. “I was always overweight as a kid,” she admits at the beginning of the video. “If I was stressed out or sad, I would eat. So I then had to learn how to put my energy into something positive and healthy for me, which is how I fell in love with working out. I feel like this journey will do the same for you.”
Kardashian has enlisted the help of Hollywood’s trainers, doctors and nutrition experts to help 16 contestants reach their fitness and weight-loss goals. In each hourlong episode, participants will get the chance to reinvent themselves from the inside out. The star will personally get to know each contestant in order to motivate them.
“The first two or three weeks you are working out so hard, you are busting your ass and you’re like, ‘What the f–k?’ Sometimes you gain weight because you’re now gaining muscle. It’s not about a weight number,” Kardashian says. “It’s about how you feel. Everything that I’m picking for [them], it’s personal for them and their journey. You’re going to start to transform your body and you’re going to have this revenge … let’s make our haters our biggest motivators.”
Hollywood trainers such as Gunnar Peterson, Luke Milton, Harley Pasternak, Corey Calliet, Latreal Mitchell, Simone De La Rue, Jorge Cruise and Lacey Stone, will make the participants shed sweat and tears while undergoing Kardashian-approved workouts and makeovers.
“Looking great is always the best revenge. It’s so exciting to be able to mentor these people through their full-body makeovers, and I can’t wait to see the incredible results at their final reveals,” the star confessed in a recent press release.
The six-episode first season of Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian premieres on Jan. 12, on E!.
