Jane Fonda was arrested on Friday during a climate change protest outside the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. The Grace and Frankie actress, 82, told The Washington Post that she planned to be arrested over the issue.

“I’m going to take my body, which is kind of famous and popular right now because of the series and I’m going to go to D.C. and I’m going to have a rally every Friday,” Fonda said. Fonda also pledged to continue the protests on the steps of the Capitol for the next 14 Fridays, calling the event ‘Fire Drill Friday.’ “We’re going to engage in civil disobedience and we’re going to get arrested every Friday,” she said.
Fonda said that she was inspired to take action by 16-year old Greta Thunberg, a climate-change activist from Sweden. “Greta said we have to behave like it’s a crisis,” Fonda said. “We have to behave like our houses are on fire. Greta said we have to behave like it’s a crisis.”
