Gwen Stefani embraced Japanese culture while in Japan by getting her own custom-made kimono during her visit. Stefani took a few photos for social media, dressed in a pale green kimono with her famous red lipstick and cat eye makeup captioning, #pricelessjapan gx and “#misery gx,” referring to the second phrase in her new song “Misery.”
Stefani posted a side-by-side photo of herself as a young girl wearing a very similar floral kimono for all her Instagram fans to see.
The 46-year-old singer is in Japan promoting her upcoming third solo album,This Is What the Truth Feels Like, which dropped on March 18. While also taking part in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tokyo 2016, Stefani looked stunning as she attended the Keita Maruyama fashion show, wearing an exclusive eccentric petal jack from KM’s Spring 2016 collection.
Meanwhile in California, The Voice star was disappointed she couldn’t be in the audience while boyfriend Blake Shelton hosted the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday. She begged her Twitter fans from Japan to help stream it, so she can watch it, “Trying to stream @AllThingsKCAs in Japan ????!!!” Stefani wrote, accompanied by a sad face and crying emojis. She continued, “Where r my Japanese fans? Help me stream @AllThingsKCAs.”
